This very special black tea is made from Taiwan's indigenous wild tea species(Larged-leaf). Wild-growing tea varietals were uncultivated in Nantou. It had been produced as fully fermented Black Tea during the Japanese Colonial period, but not carried on the widespread plant, so it is rare type of black tea.
Dry leaves are long and curly with flecks of dark red and amber hue, and the stems are a unique orange/coral color. The aroma of dry leaves is givng off sweet and fruity with hints of citrus.
Once brewed, this tea produces a full-bodied, crystal clear, and bright amber infusion. In initial sense of smell, you can feel slightly flowery fragrance. The taste is full and mellow on the tongue. After successive infusions, just like its name, strong but delicate on the palate, has an incredible mouthfeel which is exquisitely smooth but possesses a lot of energy in the mouth, almost like a cool, slightly peppermint and wild fruit sensation. It worths to give it a shot!
